Resident Sphere + Sundry goldsmith Tony Mack offers to Quicksilver Tongue two stunning talismans in the form of standard or ornate pendants.
Modeled in hard carver’s wax, and cast in a mixed-metal alloy of gold, silver, copper, and tin. [with calcined salts of peacock feather, black Ibis feather, and molted snake skin]. Casting was accompanied by suffumigation of S+ Empress, Mercury Cazimi, and Jupiter’s Lightning Rod planetary incenses.

An image of a serpent in a triskelion pattern, winding between three spheres engraved with the planetary symbols of Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter from Arabic manuscript of the Ghayat Al Hakim. On the reverse is a motif of a peacock’s feather.
Quicksilver Tongue Ornate Pendants
The form of a peacock tail feather, modeled in relief. In the center of he “eye” is set a black opal. An image of a serpent in a triskelion pattern, winding between three spheres engraved with the planetary symbols of Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter from Arabic manuscript of the Ghayat Al Hakim.
Each talisman arrives in a keepsake jewelry box bearing a wax seal of a peacock’s tail, and a vial of Quicksilver Tongue Powder.

I was lucky enough to catch this on a restock after I’d already sampled the materia from this series and falling in love with it. Pre-release I’d drawn the Empress when divining for the series, so I had quite a few items of materia to draw experience from. From the moment of ordering I worked through some old poetry and found ways to refine some pieces I wasn’t in love with and ended up processing some unexplored feelings and making those ‘meh’ poems into ones I’m now proud of. I haven’t had this pendant for long but when I wear it there’s a sweet air to everything that I do that feels benefic and timeless, and conversations are more soulful and geared toward making space for more inspiration in life.
