The Adoration of Aphrodite is a devotional evocation expressing an aspect of Spiritual Love attendant to Venus in Taurus in relation to that placement’s inherent sensuality: a sensuality of Spirit enlivening Flesh. As such it should be observed with utmost faith and enthusiasmos — allowing the essential energy of Venus in Taurus to fully enrapt one’s sensorium.

This Adoration is no mere celestial petition; instead it seeks a relationship with the Divine in the form of a syzygy — Goddess and God — herein manifest as Aphrodite and the Bull of Heaven: a love affair spanning myriad millenia. Its repeated recitation and visualization upon the Ikon of the Holy Union produces just that: human love conjoined with the deific.

The Devotee/Practitioner observing the Adoration of Aphrodite will require the following ritual objects:

: Ikon of the Holy Union (included)
: Venus in Taurus oil and incense (included upon selection)
: a white silk altar cloth
: stone bowl
: scallop shell
: conch shell
: pair of bull horns with tips cut off
: assorted sea shells for scattering upon the altar
: at least seven white votive candles
: two wine goblets
: red and white wine
: orthodox Greek incense burner (or what is available to the Devotee)
